Hey there!
I'm Sam - a high school senior who geeks out over technology and isn't afraid to get my hands dirty. I love figuring out how things work, whether it's fixing a computer, solving a tech puzzle, or tackling outdoor projects. I've got experience from CyberPatriot competitions to mowing lawns, and I approach every job with the same curiosity and determination. I'm the guy friends and family call when their computer acts up or they need help with manual work - and I'm looking to expand that to more people!
What I'm Good At
Tech Stuff
- Fixing computers (hardware and software)
- Troubleshooting - yes, I will ask if you tried turning it off and on
- Remote tech support (I can probably help without leaving my desk)
- Basic electronics (and the occasional soldering iron burn)
- Cybersecurity basics (thanks, CyberPatriot!)
- Taking things apart to see how they work (and usually putting them back together)
Creative Things
- Making graphics that don't look terrible
- Building simple websites (like this one!)
- Video editing and production
- Game design concepts
Physical Work
- Yard work (mowing, trimming, etc.)
- General property maintenance
- Gardening (plants don't yell at you like computers sometimes do)
- Moving heavy things (I work out by lifting furniture)
- Cleaning and organizing (yes, even bathrooms)
- Salvaging cool stuff from old places
What I've Been Up To
AFJROTC CyberPatriot Team | 2023-2024
- Competed in national cybersecurity competition
- Learned how to secure computer systems
- Got better at working in teams
Freelance Tech Help | Present
- Helping people fix their tech problems
- Setting up systems for friends and family
- Teaching people how to stay safe online
Odd Jobs | 2024-Present
- Yard work and property maintenance
- Helping people move and organize
- Basically saying "yes" to any honest work
Education
High School (Graduating 2026)
- Made honor roll a few times
- Learned way more about tech on my own than in class
- Good at figuring things out when I don't know the answer
- Not afraid to ask questions or try again when something doesn't work
